Who we are

צץ לי (Tsatsli, com.yoyo.tsatsli) is an Android app for capturing ideas by voice, published on Google Play by yo yo. Last updated: November 3, 2026. Contact: [email protected].

צץ לי works without an account. Your recordings, ideas, transcripts, reminders and logs are stored on your phone. By default, transcription (Whisper or the app's earlier engine) and AI drafts (Gemma) run on the phone, and nothing is sent to our server. The sections below list what can leave your phone, to whom, and when.

Data we collect

• Nothing automatically. The app has no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting service and no account, and it sends nothing to us on its own.
• Logs and feedback you choose to send: "Share log" and "Send feedback" (Settings, Help & troubleshooting) build a file on the phone and open Android's share sheet. You pick the app and the recipient (for example WhatsApp or email). The log holds the device model, Android version, app version, technical events and timings (recordings started and stopped and from where, transcription engine, AI timings without content, reminders, downloads, errors, memory use) and the app's own crash reports. It never holds recordings. Idea text is added only if you tick "Also include idea text" (off by default). Feedback holds the text you write and the app version. If you send these to us, we use them only to fix problems and answer you.

Features that send data from your phone

• Our server (optional, off by default): only if you choose "our server" as the transcription engine, each new recording (up to 2 minutes) is sent with its language to our server. Transcription runs on our server itself, not at Google or any other third party, and the recording is deleted as soon as processing ends. The server keeps no recordings and no transcripts. It keeps only the device name, an encoded device identifier and usage counters (for quotas). With the phone as the transcription engine, nothing is sent.
• Cloud summary (optional, needs a second consent): only if you tick "סיכום בענן" (cloud summary), the transcript is sent through our server to Google's cloud service for a summary. When transcription runs on the phone, only the transcript text (up to 6,000 characters) is sent, with its language, and the recording itself never leaves the phone. Our server does not keep the text. Google may keep it and use it to improve its models, and human reviewers may read it, so please don't record sensitive or personal information. With the option off, nothing is sent for a summary.
• Online transcription via your phone's speech recognition (optional, off by default): only if you switch transcription to the online mode in Settings and confirm a consent line that names the service. Then your recording is handled by your phone's own speech recognition service (the Android system service, usually Google), which may send it to that service's servers under its own terms. In this mode the app sends your recording nowhere else. Switching back to on-device transcription stops this.
• Model downloads (when you ask): Whisper and Gemma model files are downloaded from Hugging Face (huggingface.co), which sees your IP address as with any download. None of your content is sent.
• Sharing, export and backup: export, backup, sharing a transcript and the model backup go only where you choose: a file or folder you pick, or an app you pick in the share sheet.

What we do not collect

The app does not ask for or collect your location, contacts, photos, calendar, health or financial data, browsing history or advertising ID. Android's automatic cloud backup is turned off for this app. Permissions used: microphone (to record ideas you start: button, widget, tile, shortcut, voice command, driving mode); foreground service for the microphone and for data sync (to keep a recording, a model download or long processing running, with a visible notification); notifications (reminders and recording or download status); alarms and reminders (to show a reminder you set on time, which you allow in Android settings); start on boot (to restore your reminders after a restart); internet and network state (model downloads, optional online transcription via the phone's speech recognition service or via our server, optional cloud summary, checking for Wi-Fi before a download); vibration.

How data is used

On the phone: to record, transcribe, organize your ideas and remind you. What you send us: only to fix problems and answer you. What goes to our server: only for transcription, a summary you asked for, and quotas. We do not sell your data. Data sent over the internet is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. You can delete ideas in the app, and uninstalling the app deletes its data from the phone. Files you exported or shared stay where you put them. Logs and feedback you sent us are kept only as long as needed to handle them; write to [email protected] and we delete them. Recordings handled by your phone's speech recognition service in the online mode follow that service's retention rules. Our server deletes each recording as soon as processing ends and keeps no recordings, transcripts or text sent for a summary; it keeps only the device name, an encoded device identifier and usage counters (for quotas). Text sent for a cloud summary follows Google's retention rules.

Your choices

• Keep transcription on the phone (default) and leave "סיכום בענן" (cloud summary) unticked.
• Share a log only when you want to, and leave "Also include idea text" unticked.
• Turn off the microphone or notification permission in Android settings at any time.

Children

צץ לי is not directed at children under 13.
